How to become a kind entrepreneur

Do you want to be kinder to yourself and others? I think it is not only a question of waiting but a must. Being kind to yourself and others has a significant impact on your well-being.

Harpal Dhatt and I created an online course that helps you exactly with that. You can find out more about it here.

I want to give you some steps though that get you started:

Authenticity

First, find out who you really are. What makes you, you? What is your authentic self?

This is not an easy question and can be a lifelong journey. But here are a few questions that get you started:

  • What do you like about yourself?
  • What do others like about you?
  • What do you like about others?
  • What do you dislike about yourself?
  • What do you dislike about others?
  • What or who would you be if you couldn’t fail?
  • What makes you genuinely happy?
  • What are you like when no one is around? What do you do?

What is your why? Why have you started your own business?

Define your values – your personal and you business ones. What is really important in your life?

Being kind to yourself

Go inside yourself and listen to your thoughts. Make sure they are kind. Turn negative ones into positive ones.

Learn to deal with your inner critic. Here is a nice video about it.

Make sure you create boundaries and learn to say no.

What do you want

Knowing what you don’t want is as important as knowing what you want. Goal setting can help you with that. Being in a state of flow and knowing how to get into flow can be very helpful as well.

  • In which situations do you feel in flow?
  • Which tasks do you enjoy doing?
  • Which tasks and activities come easy to you?
  • What do you enjoy doing?

Being kind to others

Being kind to others has a real effect on your own well-being.

Get going with daily gratitude meditations. Here is an example but you can find any more and also longer ones on YouTube.

Thinking about becoming a Kindness Host (Harpal can tell you more about that) and serve kindness in the world.
