What is Self-Leadership? – Part 2
In the previous blog post we have looked at the first 4 parts of self-leadership. Let’s continue with the next ones: Goals, Motivation, Confidence
Goals
What is valid for the vision is also valid for your goals. Maybe you are planning to create a successful company and then exit? Maybe you are creating something that will be taken over by your children?
Motivation
Let’s have a look at the official definition of ‘motivation’ There are many out there. Here is one from www.businessdictionary.com:
“Internal and external factors that stimulate desire and energy in people to be continually interested and committed to a job, role or subject, or to make an effort to attain a goal. Motivation results from the interaction of both conscious and unconscious factors.”
Action for you to take: What motivates you?
Confidence
No one is confident all the time. It is just the way it is. If you know someone who is always confident when you see that person, be sure this person is not like that all the time. This might be due to some negative feedback that they received or self-doubt that is arising.
Unfortunately, not everything goes to plan all the time. Things might take longer than you thought or take a totally different route. Things change. This is normal and you are not alone!
There are a lot of techniques that can help you to achieve increased confidence.
If you would like to explore all of these points further, you can take a look at the book ‘The 3 pillars of leadership’ here.
