What is Self-Leadership? – Part 3
In the previous blog posts we have looked at the first 7 parts of self-leadership. Let’s continue with the last 3: Wellbeing, Relaxation, Routines
Wellbeing
Your role model function as a leader when it comes to wellbeing is very important. The constant high level of stress can not only have a negative impact on your mental and physical health, but also on the wellbeing at work, for your team members. When you are stressed, your team members will be stressed too. Be a role model and provide space and time for regular breaks and relaxation. Guide your team and yourself with steps to wellbeing.
Relaxation
When feeling stressed you need to look into relaxation as physical and mental tension needs active relaxation as a counterbalance. It should be ideally implemented in the everyday life. Build relaxation time into your day.
Routines
Routines are of habitual actions that don’t require a lot of your energy. Routines help you save time and energy on a daily basis, because you don’t have to make new decisions all the time.
There is not one perfect routine – no one fits all solution. It is a matter of finding the routine that fits your lifestyle and schedule. It is helpful to have a morning routine and an evening routine to finish the working day, or implementing it before going to sleep. You can find many different morning routine ideas or evening relaxation routines on the internet or with the help of many apps.
